I was alerted to this documentary via Facebook and I just can’t resist posting the trailer. “Kings of Pastry,” a film by Chris Hegedus and D A Pennebaker. Who knew a movie about pastries could be “gripping?”

I used to love watching Japanese anime and dramas related to food. There’s this one anime called Yakitate Japan about a boy who tries to make bread that would be the bread of Japan (and be alternative to rice) as french bread is to France or naan bread to India. You follow him through all these competitions he enters making all sorts of bread and they even sprinkle some interesting facts about bread related things throughout the anime. Fun stuff 😀
whoa, what’s the name of that anime? I’m intrigued!
Yakitate Japan. It’s a bit kid-ish, but I really like it haha. There’s also a japanese drama called Bambino about a guy aspiring to become an Italian chef.
Interesting..I just watched a couple clips on youtube. It’s funny how the series focuses on bread — look entertaining! I love bread. I will never give it up.
